Dharmapada
The great Dharma Master Tsong Khapa Losang Drakpa
Lama Tsong Khapa,(1357 – 1419 A.D.) a fully ordained Bhikshu , trained
himself under some of the greatest spiritual masters like Nyingma,
Shakya and Kagyu. With their blessings and good will, he grew into a
great scholar and spiritual practitioner. He led a model life in which
morality, great intellectual power and genuine practice of what one
preaches complemented each other. His life inspired an entire
reformation in Tibetan Buddhism. As he grew in stature and spiritual
realization, his fame and renown spread throughout Tibet, Mongolia and
China. His disciples and followers came to be known as Ge- Lug Pas, “
the virtuous ones “.
Tsong Khapa`s mantra (Migtsema prayer)
You are Avalokiteshvara , the treasury of projecton – free compassion;
Majushri, the Lord of supreme stainless wisdom
and Vajrapani, the destroyer of the host of maras,
crown ornament of the scholars of the Land of Snow,
Oh, Tsong Khapa Losang Drakpa, I request you, please grant me your
blessings.
Four boundless minds
May all sentient beings
be endowed with happiness and the causes of
happiness
May all sentient beings
be separated from sufferings and the causes of
sufferings
May all sentient beings
be never separated from happiness, free from suffering
May all sentient beings
remain in equanimity, free from attachment and
hatred
